Game review news

Game reviews collects the editorial write-ups behind the scores you see on game pages. Each review is signed by a named editor who has played a test session with virtual coins, and it describes what the game actually does: how the base round is built, what triggers each feature, how the published maths is structured, and which kinds of session the design suits.

Reviews quote published figures such as return to player, volatility and maximum multipliers exactly as the studio or game database records them, and treat them as long-run design information rather than a forecast. Where a figure is missing, the review says it is unpublished instead of filling the gap.

We publish new and revisited reviews throughout the month, and re-check older ones whenever a studio updates a game's published data. Pros and cons stay specific to the mechanics, so two games with similar themes rarely read the same way.
