Both games are in our catalogue, and both carry the Sweet Bonanza name and a 25,000x ceiling, so it is fair to ask whether they differ at all. They do, but not in the way the titles suggest. The dice edition is a new coat of paint on Sweet Bonanza 1000. Sweet Bonanza 2500 changes the numbers and the menu. This piece sets out where each difference lies, using Pragmatic Play's published pages and our game records.

The top RTP settings differ by one hundredth of a percentage point. In design terms that is a tie, so RTP is not a reason to choose one over the other.

What the dice replace, and what they leave alone

Pragmatic Play has no dedicated page for the dice edition that we could find. The comparison therefore starts from Sweet Bonanza 1000, which the studio does document. That page describes a 6x5 slot that pays when eight or more of the same fruit or candy symbol land, 10 free spins from four or more lollipops, and candy bomb multipliers of up to 1,000x. It lists an RTP of 96.53%.

Our record for Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice matches those points: free spins from scatters, multipliers from 2x to 1,000x, an ante bet and a bonus buy, and the same 96.53% top setting and 25,000x cap. The pay symbols are drawn as dice, but nothing is rolled. It is still a video slot, and a win still comes from matching symbols across the grid.

So for the dice edition the choice comes down to art style. If you like the 1000 edition's pace but want a different look, that is what you get.

The 2,500x bomb and why the cap did not move

Sweet Bonanza 2500 keeps the same base. Pragmatic's page describes 8 to 12+ matching symbols for a win, four or more lollipops for 10 free spins, and three or more lollipops in the bonus for five more. The change is the candy bomb. In the bonus game it can now reach 2,500x.

The studio's rule for combining bombs is the same in both games. Multipliers stay on screen while the tumbles run, then they are added together and applied to the total win of that sequence. That rule explains why the higher ceiling does not raise the 25,000x cap. A single 1,000x bomb needs a sequence worth 25x the bet to reach the cap. A single 2,500x bomb needs only 10x. The larger bomb means a smaller win can reach the ceiling, but the ceiling stays where it was.

Remember too that a bomb multiplies nothing unless the tumble sequence it lands in produces a win. A large value on a losing spin applies to nothing.

The bet menu is the bigger change

Yogonet's launch report, dated 4 May 2026, describes the extras that set the 2500 edition apart. There are two Super Free Spins options. One raises the minimum multiplier to 20x. The other sets a 10x minimum and adds a progressive total multiplier, which grows during the feature and applies to later wins. The report adds that in certain markets the game has special bet configurations and bonus buy options, including multipliers during the base game.

That progressive total multiplier is new to the series. In the standard round, the bomb total resets after each tumble sequence. In this mode it carries forward. Base game multipliers are also something the dice edition doesn't offer.

Because these options depend on the market, the menu you see in a given version of the game may be shorter. Our bonus buy guide explains how buy features are priced against the stake.

Which one to open first

Choose the dice edition if you want the classic Sweet Bonanza 1000 loop with a different look and a short list of options: ante bet, bonus buy and one bonus round.

Choose Sweet Bonanza 2500 if you want to see how a progressive total multiplier changes a familiar round, or you want multipliers outside free spins in versions that include them.

Both are high volatility. Free spins are where most of the value sits, so long runs without a trigger are part of the design and don't mean one is coming soon. RTP and volatility explained covers what that means over a session. If you're new to tumbling grids, start with the slot features glossary.

One note on the release date

Our record for the dice edition leaves the release date blank. The sources we checked give different dates in early 2025, and Pragmatic's site doesn't settle it, so the card shows a dash. We'll fill it in if the studio confirms a date.
