Verdict: the live studio's software twin
Evolution is best known for live dealer games. These are real tables, run by presenters in studios and streamed to players' screens. Its First Person range takes those formats and rebuilds them as software, with results produced by a random number generator (RNG) instead of a physical shoe or shaker. On SlotsRanker, you only get that RNG side, as a free demo with virtual coins. It's a clean way to learn the rules and the maths of a live format without a dealer or a betting timer.
A Swedish public company
Evolution AB (publ) describes itself as a Swedish public limited company founded in 2006. Its 2025 annual report boilerplate says the parent company is based in Sweden and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm under the ticker EVO. The company's legal entity record gives a registered address on Hamngatan in Stockholm. As the listed parent itself, it has no parent company.
The same boilerplate describes the business as developing, producing, marketing and licensing online casino solutions for operators. It says Evolution has more than 800 operator customers and 22,475 employees in studios across Europe, Asia, North America and South America. The group licence details on Evolution's game pages include a Malta Gaming Authority licence (MGA/B2B/187/2010) and a UK Gambling Commission licence. The annual report also mentions permits in Belgium, Canada, Romania and South Africa, among others.
Evolution also owns other game brands, including well-known slot studios. Its site lists NetEnt, Red Tiger, Ezugi, Big Time Gaming, Nolimit City, Sneaky Slots and DigiWheel alongside Evolution. This page covers the Evolution-branded table games only.
How live dealer products work, stated plainly
In a live dealer game, a presenter runs a physical table, wheel or dice shaker in a studio. The video is streamed, and bets are placed through an on-screen interface during a timed window. Results come from the physical equipment. Evolution's investor page recalls that when it launched in 2006, live casino meant streaming a real table to a player's computer. Its current range includes live dice games and game-show formats.
A First Person game keeps the same rules and bet layout but replaces the physical equipment with RNG software and 3D animation. Evolution's First Person Bac Bo page adds a GO LIVE button that links to the live version. That link to live play isn't part of our site, which only offers the free RNG demo.
Bac Bo: baccarat with dice
Evolution's launch announcement describes Bac Bo as a dice game inspired by baccarat. Its chief product officer called it a blend of baccarat and sic bo. Player and Banker each get two dice from their own shaker, the higher total wins, and a tie can pay up to 88 to 1.
First Person Bac Bo is the RNG version on our site. Verified specs:
| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Table game |
| RTP | 98.87% |
| Max win | 88x |
| Release | 12 March 2025 |
As our review shows, Bac Bo's maths can be fully counted. Two dice give 36 combinations per side. That makes it possible to show where the 98.87% return on Player and Banker comes from, and why the Tie bet returns less, at 95.52%. The 88x figure is the top Tie pay, for one specific tied total. It isn't a typical result. Compared with card baccarat, there are no drawing rules to learn.
Returns in Evolution's table games
For table games like Bac Bo, the return comes from the rules and pay table rather than a studio-wide setting, and it differs by bet. Evolution publishes the ladder of Tie pays on its game page. We haven't found a single company-wide RTP policy, and volatility isn't published for First Person Bac Bo.
Who Evolution's First Person games suit
- Players curious about live formats who want to learn the rules before watching a live table.
- Players who like to understand the maths, since dice outcomes can be counted exactly.
- Anyone who dislikes betting timers, because the RNG version runs at your pace and offers Normal and Fast speeds.
Players who want reels, features and bonus rounds should look at slot studios in the group, such as NetEnt or Red Tiger, instead.
