Where iSoftBet stands

iSoftBet had two businesses at once: making its own games and distributing thousands made by others. That split explains its catalogue. Its own slots rely on a few dependable formats, especially the Hot Spin fruit line and a long run of Hold & Win respin games. The two titles on our site are something different again: plain RNG versions of baccarat and blackjack. It's a practical studio rather than a flashy one, and its table games are among the easiest on the site to understand fully.

What IGT bought in 2022

International Game Technology PLC announced an agreement to buy iSoftBet in April 2022, and iGaming Business reports that the deal completed on 6 July 2022. The announcement gives the clearest official picture of the company at the time:

  • about 350 employees and contractors, mainly in England, Malta and Romania
  • about 125 proprietary games
  • more than 4,600 third-party games on its own aggregation platform
  • games certified by 20 European regulators
  • about 260 operator customers

According to iGaming Business, the purchase more than doubled IGT's online content library, to about 225 games.

In July 2025, funds managed by Apollo completed their purchase of IGT's Gaming & Digital business, which now operates as IGT. We list IGT as iSoftBet's parent. We couldn't confirm iSoftBet's founding year or a single headquarters city from a primary source, so those fields are blank. The acquisition announcement names offices in three countries rather than one head office.

Hot Spin and the Hold & Win habit

iSoftBet's best-known slot family is Hot Spin, a modern fruit-machine line. Gaming Intelligence notes that Hot Spin Megaways followed the original Hot Spin and Hot Spin Deluxe. It added the Megaways layout, with up to 117,649 ways, a Hot Spin Wheel with ten possible modifiers, and cascading wins. A later entry, Hot Spin Hot Link, brought the series together with iSoftBet's other signature format.

That format is Hold & Win, a coin-respin mechanic that iSoftBet has used across many themes. When iGaming Business covered Wolf Canyon: Hold & Win, it placed the game after Rising Samurai: Hold & Win and Plunderin' Pirates: Hold & Win. The branding is consistent enough that the words "Hold & Win" in a title tell you what the bonus round is before you open the game.

Two tables, not two slots

Neither iSoftBet game on SlotsRanker is a slot. Both are software-dealt table games:

GameTypeRTPRelease
BaccaratTable game98.94%—

Baccarat follows the punto banco format, in which fixed drawing rules decide every hand. The 98.94% is the Banker bet's return. Our review traces all four published returns back to the rules and pay ratios. Player returns 98.76%, Tie 85.64% and the Pair side bet 89.64%. The same deal of cards can therefore return very different amounts depending on the bet.

Blackjack is a single-hand RNG table. Its reported rules include eight decks, a dealer who stands on all 17s and one split per hand. Our review explains what each rule does to the house edge. It also records that two databases give different RTPs and that iSoftBet hasn't confirmed either, which is why the table shows "Not verified".

Compared with each other, Baccarat has the better-documented numbers. Blackjack gives players more decisions to make.

RTP: studio level versus table level

iSoftBet hasn't published a studio-wide RTP policy that we could find. For its table games, the return comes from the rules rather than a studio setting. That's why Baccarat's figures match standard eight-deck maths exactly, and why Blackjack's return depends on the rules and on the player's decisions.

Who iSoftBet suits

  • Table-game players who want RNG baccarat or blackjack without a live-dealer timer.
  • Fans of respin bonuses, given the long Hold & Win line.
  • Players who like updated fruit machines, through the Hot Spin family.

iSoftBet pros and cons

Pros

  • Its RNG tables have rules and returns that can be worked out.
  • Consistent series branding, so Hot Spin and Hold & Win titles are easy to recognise.
  • Backed by IGT, with games certified by 20 European regulators at the time of the 2022 deal.

Cons

  • Official game pages for its tables weren't available, so some rules come from third-party descriptions.
  • Company basics, such as founding year and head office, aren't clearly published.
