KA Gaming
An Asia-rooted studio with a very large in-house catalogue that mixes slots with fish-shooting arcade games, and offers operators nine RTP settings per game.
KA Gaming in brief
KA Gaming makes games in volume and treats the arcade as seriously as the slot. Alongside hundreds of slots, it has an unusually large range of fish-shooting games, plus crash, arcade and table titles. The result is a catalogue that feels more like an amusement hall than a boutique slot studio. That suits players who enjoy variety. It's less suited to anyone who wants a small set of carefully differentiated games.
The demo network we use carries 899 titles from KA Gaming, one of the largest libraries of any studio there. None of them is yet among the games we cover with full verified specs and a written review, so this page describes the studio as a whole.
Where the name comes from, and what we could not confirm
The iGaming Business directory quotes the studio's explanation of its name: KA stands for "Kick Ass", and its slogan presents the studio as a maker of games "from Asia to World". The same trade outlet has called it one of Asia's most successful development studios.
Its founding year isn't settled. An iGaming Business report from January 2024 says the studio has produced games since 2016. A later report on the same site, from October 2024, says it was established in 2017. The studio's own website doesn't give a date or a headquarters address. We found no published parent company either. Because of these gaps, we've left the founding year, headquarters and parent blank rather than pick one.
What the official site does publish is a regulatory summary. It says KA Gaming is licensed in 16 iGaming jurisdictions, including Malta (MGA), the UK (UKGC), Curaçao, Gibraltar, the Philippines (PAGCOR) and Brazil. It also lists third-party certification from GLI, BMM Testlabs and eCOGRA.
A catalogue split between reels and cannons
KA Gaming's own breakdown shows how different its mix is from a typical slot studio. The official site lists 1,019 in-house titles:
| Category | Titles listed by KA Gaming |
|---|---|
| Slots | 816 |
| Fish shooters | 122 |
| Arcade | 44 |
| Table | 26 |
| Crash | 11 |
Fish shooters are arcade games in which you aim at moving targets. When iGaming Business reported the studio's arrival on the Hub88 aggregation platform, it highlighted fish-shooting releases such as King Octopus and Space Cat.
The studio has also sped up. In 2024, iGaming Business reported that it produced 10 to 14 new games a month. Its website now describes six new games every other Wednesday. Our catalogue figure of 899 is lower than the studio's own total because we list only the titles our demo provider carries.
Lock 2 Spin and Fusion Reels
On the slot side, KA Gaming covers traditional paylines, ways and cluster pays. It also has two mechanics it names as its own:
- Lock 2 Spin, a trademarked in-house mechanic.
- Fusion Reels, a second trademarked in-house mechanic.
The studio's site groups its bonus types into free spins, bonus games, buy features, multiplayer modes, wheel bonuses, jackpots and skill bonuses. Skill bonuses in particular show the arcade influence again. Earlier titles named in trade coverage include Luck88, Cocorico and Golden Ball.
Nine RTP levels on one game
KA Gaming is one of the few studios on our site to publish its RTP approach clearly. Its website says operators can set RTP anywhere from 82% to 98%, using nine selectable levels. iGaming Business reported in 2024 that its popular titles averaged around 96% RTP, with configurable RTP and volatility across the catalogue.
This matters more than it first appears. The same KA Gaming game can appear in very different versions depending on the setting chosen. Before comparing one KA title with another, check which RTP the version in front of you uses. A game set at 82% and the same game set at 98% have very different long-run returns. On SlotsRanker, each game page shows the specs we have verified for our demo version.
Who KA Gaming is for
- Arcade fans: the fish shooters and skill bonuses aren't common in mainstream slot catalogues.
- Catalogue browsers who like to try many themes quickly rather than learn a few games in depth.
- Players curious about Asian-market design, since the studio's content leans that way.
Players who want a clear set of flagship franchises may find the sheer volume hard to navigate.
What works and what doesn't
Pros
- A genuinely mixed catalogue with arcade, crash and table games alongside slots.
- A clearly published RTP range and a list of testing labs.
- Branded mechanics, Lock 2 Spin and Fusion Reels, give some structure to a large library.
Cons
- Basic company facts, including founding year and headquarters, aren't consistently published.
- Nine RTP settings mean specs can differ a lot between versions of the same game.
